2017 Interpretive Training for Educators and Volunteers -- FREE!

Attention educators and volunteers of historic sites, museums, and parks! During this 3-day training, you'll participate in tours, interactive discussions, and exercises to help you hone your presentation skills and develop engaging programs. Sessions will be facilitated by Erica Wheeler, a visitor experience specialist offering her Stewardship Training Program. Wheeler has worked closely with a variety of NPS sites, from Yosemite National Park to the National Mall. The forum explored the role of food and lodging in enhancing downtowns for residents and visitors. Conference program included strategies for product development and marketing and conversations with guest speakers Jonathan Tourtellot, Geotourism Editor of National Geographic Traveler, Main Street expert Kennedy Smith of The CLUE Group, LLC, and panelists from the Canalway Corridor.
