Paddle the five locks of the Waterford Flight and celebrate 200 years of the Erie Canal!
Enjoy dramatic scenery, towering locks, and easy paddling on this guided half-day trip. A free shuttle is available to the start and lunch will be served after the paddle at the Peebles Island State Park pavilion.

Itinerary
7am - 8:45am: Check in and boat drop off at Alcathy's Boat Launch above Lock 6. Shuttle runs from parking lots at start and finish (see below for logistics)
8:45am: Check-in and safety review at Alcathy's Boat Launch
9am: Launch from Alcathy's Boat Launch, Waterford
9am - 12pm: Paddle 2.7 miles through the Waterford flight to the Waterford Point Boat Ramp
12pm: Lunch at the Peebles Island State Park pavilion, Waterford
1pm: Guided History Walk
Logistics
Complimentary shuttles will be available from Peebles Island State Park and the Waterford Visitors Center to the launch at Alcathy's. Shuttles begin at 7:00am and will continue until 8:45am. Shuttle services will not be available at the end of the paddle.
If you plan to use shuttle services:
1. Arrive at Alcathy's Boat Launch (start), and drop off your gear.
2. Drive to the take-out. Parking is available at Peebles Island State Park, the Waterford Boat Launch, the Waterford Visitors Center, and on the street. Carpooling is encouraged.
3. Ride the shuttle back to the launch site.
4. Check-in at the registration table and prepare to paddle.
Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Pets are not permitted.
Life jackets are required while on the water. No exceptions.
Event is limited to 225 registrants.
